Divided into provinces counties and baronies Shewing The Archbishopricks, Bishopricks, Cities, Boroughs, Market Towns, Villages, Barracks, Mountains, Lakes, Bogs, Rivers, Bridges, Ferries, Passes; Also the Great, the Branch &the By Post Roads together with the Inland Navigation &c'. By J Roque, chorographer to His Majesty. 3 inches = 25 English miles 3 inches = 20 Irish miles. 1260 x 1000 mm. Hand coloured. Printed. Dissected into two sheets. Linen backing. Map of Ireland coloured to show counties and baronies. Counties named. Table giving details of the different marks on the map. Surrounding waters named. Small part of Scotland shown in upper right hand corner of map. Box giving some geographical and historical details about Ireland. Title has a cartouche with the Irish arms shown. Title also surrounded by pictorial scene of classical figure reclining next to water with small postion of a classical column. Small map of Great Britain and Ireland with the sea coats named. Large coastal towns and cities named. Compass roses on both maps. |
