'Plan of the water courses by which water is conveyed from Short Cleugh Burn, etc to the machinery and washing stations of the Scots Mines Company and the Leadhills Mining Company drawn from a survey taken by command of Daniel Vere, Esq, sheriff-substitute for the Upper Ward of Lanarkshire'. By David Wilson. Lithographed by Schenck and McFarlane, Edinburgh. [1:7900] 1 in = 10 Imperial chains 68 x 48 cm Mining Plan showing levels around Leadhills village. Shafts shown include Whitfield's, Dale's, Pearson's, Aitken's, Rankeillor, Charles, Meadowhead, Cockburn's, Hair's and Engine. Washing station, smelting mill, dam, ruins and curling pond noted.
