'Ld. Mar's Plans 1700 etc.' By John Erskine, Earl of Mar. Plans and elevations of proposed houses and proposed improvements to houses, drawn by John Erskine (d 1732), Earl of Mar, while on exile on the continent, including a house for Lord Dun in Angus, and houses and other buildings at Alloa, Clackmannanshire, and at Mezieres a Clery, near Orleans, Migneaux at Poissy, Becon-les-Bruyeres, Chatou, La Plant near Namur, and Choisy-le-Roi in France, and at Antwerp: includes a design for an ice-house (No.68): notes at front of volume on the design for Lord Dun's house at Dun. Formerly arranged in two portfolios: RHP13257/1-37 and RHP13257/38-73. NB. The plans are not in their original order and have been re-numbered. |
