Description |
'Plan of those parts of certain lands belonging to William Wemyss of Cuttlehill, Esq, Sir James Malcolm, Bart, and Miss Wardlaw, the coal ironstone, etc, under which are let by the said William Wemyss to Sir John Henderson of Fordel, Bart, by lease hereto referring'. Copied in 1831 by W L Gogton, mining engineer at Fordel colliery, from a plan by William Bell and Thomas Johnston, dated 1798. [1:3600] 1 inch = 4 Scottish chains 987 x 657 mm, on sheet 1001 x 672 mm. Plan of lands adjacent to Cuttlehill house coloured to show leased coal seams. Crossgates, Nether Bucklyvie, Cowdenend and Nether Beath farms, Fortune Pit and land allowed and prohibited to sink noted. Table of contents giving acreages of ground under which the coal seams are let to Sir John Henderson. Part of Dunfermline parish included. |
