'No title. By [Mr. Alexander].
[1:120] 1 inch = 10 feet. 490 x 382 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing.
Plan, elevation and section of church. Seating marked on plan. Note 1: 'This Plan is estimated for 80 feet by 55 wide'. Note 2 (on reverse): 'Wick the tenth of November Eighteen hundred and six the within plan of the Kirk of Wick is the plan of that building produced by the Donors for the Pursuers on the eight current and referred to in the deposition of John Rhind Mason in Wick of that date. (signed) John Rhind. W[illia]m Brodie Commr. Alex Gunn, Clerk'. Note 3 (on reverse): 'Wick 4th Nov 1794. The within plan was of the date received by the .. (signed) Geo[rge] Mackenzie Blyth'. Note 4 (on reverse): 'NB Five feet of width were taken off this plan to prevent the roof to be unweildy & is estimated at 80 long & 55 wide one of the grand windows must be condemned for the steeple' [sic]. |
