'A plan of the estate of Castlehill belonging to David Murray, Esq'. By William Aberdeen. Scale [1:3600] 1 inch = 4 Scottish chains. 118 x 89 cm. Ink and colour wash. Plan of the estate of Castlhill coloured to show infield-outfield lands of the townships of Harland, Garth, Tansfield, Coulag (Cowlack), Which Field and Groxter. Improvements of Strangergill, houses in perspective including Olrig church and manse, Ruthy Mire Common, flagstone quarry and mills noted. Table of contents. Detailed note giving surveyor's recommendation for improvement. Inset view of Castlehill house and garden. Inset small drawings including plough team with four horses, ploughing with three oxen abreast, two wheeled cart pulled by two oxen, man cutting vegetable crop, horses and cows in various positions.
