Description |
'Plan of the lands of Brims, the property of Sir Jn:o [John] Sinclair of Murkle, Barrt'. By David Aitken. Scale [1:5400] 1 inch = 6 Scottish chains. 1110 x 880 mm. Ink and colour wash. Estate plan showing the infield, outfield common pastures, with acreages, of Port of Brims, Mains, Easter mains, Easter and Wester Brims and Balleod townships. Buildings with tenants' names, Brims castle, chapel and slate quarry noted. Relief by hachures. Title within cartouche. Notes: 'Edinburgh 20 Feb 1823. This is the plan referred to in my deposition of this date. Will Matheson, James Flint.' 28 June 1832. This is one of the plans referred to in the minutes and articles of sale of certain parts and portions of the entailed estate of Murkle and others. J H MacKenzie. |
