'A pland of the lands of Burntown, Farskine, Findochty, and Woodside belonging to the Right Honourable Earl of Findlater and Seafield made out from an accurate survey taken anno 1766.' [By Peter May, surveyor] [1:4500] 1 inch = 5 Scots chains. 1444 x 1083 mm. Ink and colourwash. Annotated in graphite. Linen backing. Dissected into 2 sheets. Compass rose. Plan showing field boundaries, names, and descriptions of land quality. Some occupiers named. Woods, mosses, roads, waterways, and marches all shown. Improveable land noted. Table of contents and table of reference. Explanatory text relating to the improvement plans of the proprietor. |
