'The general plan of Lochbay in the island of Sky[e].' [Surveyed by Thomas Telford.] [1:1800] 1 inch = 150 feet. 432 x 554 mm. Ink and colourwash. Annotated in graphite. Linen backing. Compass rose. Plan showing in detail the lay-out of the proposed [never executed] town of Lochbay, with inset elevation of Macleod Terrace. Individual lots shown. Locations of pier, storehouse, custom house, warehouse, boatbuilder's, cooper's, and blacksmith's shops, church, quarries, and public fountains noted. Table of references. |
