'Plan of the proposed road from Dunvegan to Portree.' By William Cuming, surveyor.
[1:21310] 1 inch = 24 feet. 1165 x 618 mm. Ink and colour wash. Relief in grey wash. Compass rose. Linen backing.
Plan of the road between Dunvegan and Portress, Isle of Skye, Inverness-shire, showing the route through Munachnachark, over the Red Burn and Water of Coshletter to Edinbain, through Braebost and Clayhamish across the Water of Teistland, through Barnasdale over the Water of Toc through Skeabost and Snisort past Carbost to the junction with the Trotternish road over the Hill of Culeagrumuic, across the Water of Liskary and into Portree. Noted are old roads, water courses, settlements, ground types, old Tower of Kildonan, old Kirk of Snisort and land belonging to MacLeod of Scalpay, Colonel MacDonald of Lyndale and Strathaird. Plan attested. |
