'No. 1 plan of the intended line of road from Fort William at the East Sea to Loch-na-Gaul on the West Sea' By George Brown, surveyor. 1 inch = 1/5 mile. 752 x 2786 mm Ink and colour wash. Relief in grey wash. Cartouche of seated figure, resting. Plan of the proposed road between Fort William and Loch na Gaul, showing land use, names of lochs and rivers, buildings, bridges, descriptions of terrain, cairns, sheilings, names of land owners, inns, large houses. Table of explanation and references to the plan with an abstract for making and forming the road, showing distances and costs. Vignettes of ships and boats on some of the lochs. The road passes through Inverlochy, Ferry of Lochy, Corpach, Kilmallie, Annet, Auchdale Lower, Fassie Fearn, Dykack, Connie Begg, Craig Dow, Loch Eill End, Dalriach, Torbaan Oak Wood, Drum na Sallie, Craigack, Princes Hillock, Inn of Glen Finnan, Brain Kyle, Dirrie Dorroch, Leiken Bowie, Rein a Charn, Arrin Eskle, Inn of Ken Loch Aylort, Poulnich, Arnie Pool, Mamie, Borrodale and the Inn south of Keppoch. |
