Description |
'Plan of the annexed estate of Barrisdale'. Copy taken by William Morrison dated 1771. [1:13,400] 1 inch = 15 Scottish chains. 1010 x 177 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Estate plan showing boundaries of townships coloured including Sourlics, Carnoch, Braomisaig, Reidh a' Ghuail (Riguel), Inverie, Glaschoille, Inverguseran, Mhuineil (Muinal), Runival (Caolisbeg) and Skiary. Land use indicated - arable, pasture, hill grazing and moss with annotations giving quality of ground. Steadings, shielings and woodland noted. Table of contents giving acreages of farms. Title with ornamental pictorial border. Illustrated key. Compass rose. Another copy dated 1825 - RHP111. |
