'Plan of the Commonty of Moffat lying in the county of Dumfries.' By William Bell, surveyor. [1:4445] 1 inch = 5 chains. 1838 x 691 mm. Negative photoreproduction in eight parts. Plan of the Commonty of Moffat, Dumfries-shire, showing the 'Extent and Valuation', 'Proportion each person draws' and 'Scheme of Division' and 'Abstract' of the commonty, recording details for the Marquis of Annandale, Granton, Angus McDonald, John Black, Thomas Moffatt, James Wilson, Mrs Anne Grahame, David French, James Beatty, James Duncan, William Gillespie, James Little, James Johnstone, Peter Cleland's Heir, William Johnston, writer, Mrs Johnston of Granton and Peter Tod. Notes: 'At Moffat the Thirtieth day of October in the year seventeen hundred and seventy one. This is the map or plan of the Commonty of Moffat referred to in the report and deposition of me William Bell land surveyor this day made and emitted before John Story writer in Moffat the commissioner named for dividing the said commonty. William Bell, William Dickson, John Story.' 'Moffat 10th June 1772. This is the map or plan referred to in my second report and deposition of this date relative to the final division of the commonty.
