1. 1462/3 January 10. Perth. Letter in form of indenture by Thomas Rogersone of Drumdewane whereby he grants de me to John Stewart, lord of Lorne, the lands of Strathir, viz Ardquhowloure, Rusnacrag and half lands of Ynnremulane with mill, in earldom of Stratherne, sheriffdom of Perth, in return for £86 13s 4d scots, reversion to take place at altar of BVM in church of Perth. Witnesses: David Flemyng, Robert Mersare, John de Camera, John Quhitsum, Gilbert Broune, Andrew Inchmertine and Richard Benyne, burgesses [of Perth]. Seal on tag.
2-3. 1466 March 28 [5 kal april a.r. 2] Papal bull by Paul II addressed to bishop, dean and archdean of Lismore, narrating complaint from Colin Cambel, earl of Argyll, and Isabella Stewart, his wife, that Walter Stewart, lord Lorne, and others unspecified have demolished tower of the place of Glowm in territory of Dolar, diocese of Dunkeld, which said Isabella had in feuferme from the bishop thereof; this is to be looked into and said Walter summoned, etc. Bulla on string. With translation.
4. 1575 August 19 Assignation by James Stewart, son and heir of deceased Walter Stewart of Ballingdorran, donator to maills and duties of lands of ?Crochame Strogetht in lordship of Boquhidder, sheriffdom of Perth, since decease of David Murray of Glenawmound, to Sir James Stewart of Downe, kt, of said gift. |
