Admin history Arbroath East Free Church was formed at the Disruption by members of the Old and Abbey churches of the town. A church building was opened shortly thereafter and replaced in 1875. The congregation passed to the United Free Church and united with Arbroath High as Arbroath St Ninian's in 1924. The United Free charge was in the presbytery of Arbroath and Forfar and the synod of Fife and Angus.
