Untitled. By Andrew Barrie, architect, Montrose. [1:120] 1 inch = 10 feet. 273 x 147 mm on sheet 286 x282 mm. Ink and colour wash. Watermark: crown, Britannia and 'Pro Rege Et Patria'. Architectural plan and elevation of houses belonging to George Smith and John Valentine, Montrose, showing original and current position of copper pot still, plan of ground floors of properties, windows, doors and chimneys on each elevation. Letters A-U are marked and explained in table of reference. Elevations attached to plan can be unfolded to give three dimensional impression of buildings.: 'by takeing up the elevation of Mr Smiths back wall and the elevation of Mr Valentine's wall you will have at first shight (sic) the manner the copper is set, and the distance of the chimney head from Mr Smiths back wall.' On reverse: 'Charges of the Plan £1.16 =.' Produced in causa George Smith vs John Valentine. |
