Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of Thomas Connelsoune, presbyter of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, following upon and narrating a precept of sasine (dated at Edinburgh 5 June 1532) by Patrick, Earl of Bothuele, Lord Crechtoune and Halis, addressed to William Johnnestoune and Archibald Johnnestoune, his bailies in that part, for infefting Umphra Jarding his heirs and assignees in the five merklands of Lammynby of old extent with pertinents (occupied by John Portuous, John Steill, Edward Steill, his brother, William Bel and John Bell) lying within the parish of Driuisdele and stewartry of Annandale; which lands formerly pertained to John Scott of Robertoune and were resigned by him into the hands of the Earl at Edinburgh. Sasine given by the said Archibald Johnnestoune at the principal messuage of the said lands on 17th July 1532 |
