Award pronounced by James Burnett of Barns, who was asked by Lord Elliock and Mr. Walter Scott, W.S., "doer" for Sir James Nasmyth of Posso Bart., to value a servitude of 40 sheets grass which Lord Elliock has upon the farm of Little Ormiston belonging to Sir James, assessing the yearly value of the said servitude at £4 stg. and suggesting that the lands lying on the south side of the new turnpike road, and marked on the plan, should be alloted to Lord Elliock in lieu thereof.
