Precept of Clare Constat by Sir James Cunningham of Milncraig addressed to John Clarkson of Easter Cowsland for infefting Thomas Caddell, gunsmith in Down, eldest lawful son of Thomas Caddell, gunsmith there, as heir to his father in an annualrent of £46:18/- Scots furth of the lands of Cowsland lying in the parish of Livingston, sheriffdom of Bathgate, bounds of Linlithgow and barony of Renfrew, constituted by (a) heritable bond (dated 15 February 1705) for £782:13: 8 granted by the late Thomas Clarkson of Cowsland to the said Thomas Caddell elder and (b) Instrument of Sasine following thereon dated 17th and registered P.R.S.
