Title |
Instrument of Resignation under the hand of Andrew Slowane, clerk, of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, narrating that John Park, miller at Livingstoun Mill, as procurator for James Findaly in Knock, in virtue of procuratory of resignation in Discharge, Disposition and Assignation (dated 27th August 1731) granted by the said James Findlay to Sir James Cunynghame of Milncraige, resigned into the hands of Sir James ad perpetuam remanentiam an annualrent of 350 merks furth of the lands of Nether Dechmond, lying between the land and muir of Houstoun, the gate called the Southgate and the muir called the Craig Muir on the east, the muir and burn of Marth Balk of the Carmondeans and the land and houses of Foullflatt alias Wairdhead on the west, the lands of Muirhead "as the standing march properly" and the lands of Newyearfeild, the Muir of Hayning and the muir and muirs called Willys Moss of Houdon on the south, and the lands of Knights Rigg and Over Dechmond and the half of Houstoun Moss on the north, within the barony of Calderclear, regality of Dalkeith and sheriffdom of Edinburgh by annexation: which annualrent is constituted by bond (dated 14 February 1718) for 7000 merks Scots granted by John Findlay late of Little Dechmond to the said James Findlay and infeftment following thereupon dated 17 and registered P.R.S. Edinburgh 18th February 1718 |
