Title |
Inventory of the writs in the charter chests at Airds and Mollance made by William Maxwell of Carswada, commissioner, appointed by William Gordoune of Campbletoun, commissary depute of Kirkcudbright, for that purpose, (No. GD86/879) and Anthony Donaldson, writer in Kirkcudbright, as clerk. The charter chest at Airds was inventoried on 19th and that at Mollance on 20th September 1732, "there being none invantar'd at Netherrerrick nor non taken up by the petitioners but all replaced in the chist ther and the chist of new sealed up by the commissioner". There are endorsed on the Inventory two receipts (dated 20 September 1732) by John Maxwell, husband of Jean Maxwell, for the writs taken out of the said charter chests, a duplicate of the inventory and receipt being placed in each chest |
