Title |
Bond of Relief by Sir James Nasmyth of Daick, advocate, in favour of Mr. John McKenzie of Delvin, one of the principal clerks of Session, Mr. John Mitchellson, younger of Midletoun, advocate, and Robert Boyd, writer in Edinburgh, who became cautioners for him that he should pay to Mr. Robert Nasmyth of Posso, from whom he had acquired the lands and barony of Posso conform to disposition dated 21 May 1709, the sum of £300 sterling yearly in London conform to obligation subscribed by the granter at London on 21 May and by the cautioners at Edinburgh on 18th June 1709. The granter bound himself for the further security of the said Mr. Robert Nasmyth to infeft him in the said annuity furth of his lands and baronies in the parishes of Daick and Manner and sheriffdom of Peebles and his cautioners are authorised to do so should he fail to implement his obligation to report discharges of the annuity to them.
