Title |
Charter under the Great Seal of Queen Anne, with consent of James Duke of Queensberrie, High Commissioner for Scotland, and others, commissioners of her Treasury, confirming (1) contract of feu farm (dated 12 February 1706) between John, Duke of Athole, with consent of the deceased Catherine, Duchess of Athole, his spouse, on the one part, and Duncan Maclairan in Wester Innernenty in Balquhidder, on the other part, whereby the former granted to the latter one-half of the town and lands of Wester Innernanty (including one-half of Wester Drumleck) extending to a 2½ merkland, lying in the parish of Balquhidder, regality of Athole and sheriffdom of Perth, with power to hold courts etc., for an annual feuduty of £82:13: 4 Scots with a double thereof on the entry of heirs, and (2) charter of feufarm (dated 19th August 1706) in implement of the said contract.
