Title |
Disposition by Mr. Robert Stewart of Binny, advocate, whereby in consideration of the sum of £5053:11: 4 Scots paid to him by Sir David Cuninghame of Milncraig, advocate, he disponed and assigned to him annualrent of £280 Scots furth of the lands and baronies of Livingstoun and Meikle Blackburn, lying in the parish of Livingstoun, and sheriffdom of Linlithgow, in which he was infeft conform to (1) Heritable Bond by Patrick Moray of Livingstoun, (2) Instrument of Sasine and (3) Charter under Great Seal, Nos. GD86/789, 820, 821; with procuratory of resignation and precept of sasine. The disposition narrates that the granter and other creditors of the said Patrick Moray were summoned before the Lords of Council and Session in virtue of a Multiplepoinding raised at the instance of the tenants of the said lands and that the Lords by their decreet of ranking preferred him to the seventh place quoad the foresaid lands and barony of Livingstoun and to the eighth place quoad the lands of Breich and to the third place quoad the lands of Meikle Blackburn, the other creditors being Janet Hepburn, relict of the said Patrick Moray, the relict and daughters of Mr. Richard Howison, minister at Innerask, Mr. James Lowis of Merchistoun, Margaret Hamilton, Lady Bangour, Lieutenant Colonel Sharp in the Foot Guards, Colonel John Moray in the said Guards and Mr. George Douglas, advocate.
