Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of Mr. John Guthrie, clerk, of the diocese of Edinburgh, notary public, following upon and narrating the precept of sasine in a heritable bond (dated 29th November 1698) by the deceased Patrick Murray of Livingstoun, whereby he bound and obliged himself to infeft Robert Hepburn of Keith in an annualrent of 300 merks Scots furth of the lands and barony of Livingstoun, lying in the parish thereof and sheriffdom of Linlithgow, redeemable on payment of the principal sum of 5000 merks. Sasine given on 30 November 1704 by Allan Cuthbert, tenant at the Kirktoun of Livingstoun, bailie of the said Patrick Murray, to William Lethin, indweller at the said Kirktoun, late servitor to the said Patrick Murray, as procurator for the said Robert Hepburn |

Description |
Witnesses to the bond, Lewis Hay, lawful son of the deceased John Hay of Aberlady, - Alexander Aitkenhead, W.S., and James his eldest son. Witnesses to the sasine, James Mercer, writer, Edinburgh, George Patersone, schoolmaster at Kirktoun of Livingstoun, James Jaffray, indweller there, and Robert Tod, indweller in Edinburgh.
