Warrant for a Letter of Gift under the Privy Seal in favour of Alexander Pyper of Newgrange of the escheat of the goods and gear which pertained to James Heages, merchant in Leith, who was put to the horn on 8th February 1704 in virtue of letters of horning raised against him at the instance of Patrick Coutts, merchant in Edinburgh, for non-payment of the sum of £409 Scots contained in a Bill drawn by William Dausone upon and accepted by Heages and payable to Coutts.
