Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of William Ker, clerk, of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, and sheriff clerk of the sheriffdom of Linlithgow, following upon and narrating the precept of sasine in a heritable obligation (dated at Linlithgow 11th February 1703) by Patrick Murray of Livingstone whereby he bound and obliged himself to infeft Alexander Glen of Longcroft in an annualrent of 600 merks Scots furth of the lands and barony of Livingstone lying in the parish of Livingstone and sheriffdom of Linlithgow, redeemable on payment of the principal sum of 10,000 merks. Sasine given on 6th January 1704 by Thomas Wattsone in Livingstoun, bailie of the granter, to the said Alexander Glen |

Description |
Witnesses to the obligation: Adam Bucknay, formerly bailie of Linlithgow, William Bell, clerk of said burgh, and John Eiston, writer there. Witnesses to the sasine, Walter Waldie, lawful son of William Waldie in Bonhard, Alexander Ker, gardener in Linlithgow, Archibald Duncan, indweller there, and Joseph Barclay, one of the officers of the sheriffdom of Linlithgow.
