Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of John Somervell, clerk, of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, following upon and narrating the precept of sasine in a heritable bond (dated at Edinburgh 4 March 1699) by the late Patrick Murray of Livingstone, whereby, in consideration of the sum of 7000 merks Scots paid to him by Mr. Robert Stewart of Binnie, advocate, he bound and obliged himself to infeft him in an annualrent of £280 Scots furth of (1) the lands and baronies of Livingstoun and Blackburn lying in the parish of Livingstoun and sheriffdom of Linlythgow. Sasine given on 7th December 1703 by John Hardie, servitor of the said Mr. Robert Stewart, bailie in that part, to Patrick Dicksone of West Binnie, attorney for Stewart |

Witnesses to the bond, Mr. George Pitcarn, commissary of Dunkeld, James Smittone, his servitor, and John Dobie, vintner, burgess of Edinburgh. Witnesses to the sasine, James Carmichael, servitor to the notary, and Thomas Eastoune, servitor to the said Mr. Robert Stewart.
