Warrant for a Letter of Gift under the Privy Seal in favour of Anna Johnston, relict of Captain William Baillie of Hardingtown, of the escheat of her husband's goods and gear, who was put to the horn, on 5th March 1687, in virtue of letters of horning raised against him by Grissell Forrest, relict of Robert Learmont, late bailie of Edinburgh, for non-payment of the sum of £129 Scots, being the balance of the sum of 500 merks contained in a bond by Captain Baillie to Grissell Denholm, relict of Mr. William Baillie of Hardingtown, and assigned by her to Grissell Forrest.
