Precept of Sasine by Mariot Levingstoune, sister and one of the heirs of the late Mr. Bertholomew Levingstoun of that Ilk, addressed to Thomas Douglas, John Hammiltoune, William Lyoun, Thomas Ade, Robert Douglas, Robert Douglas of Pomfrastoun, her bailies in that part, for infefting Patrick Hammiltoun of Kyncavill, knight, his heirs and assignees, in the lands of Levingstoun, Cousland, Stanyburn, Breich, and Carmandens and in her part of the mill, mill-lands and dominical lands of Levingstoun and the two merklands called Newwerk, lying in the barony of Levingstoun and sheriffdom of Linlichqw; in consideration of certain sums of money paid to her in her urgent necessity by the said Patrick Hammiltoun, of which she discharged him for ever.
