Title |
Signature for a Charter under the great seal in favour of James Nasmyth, one of the clerks of Session, of one-fourth part of the lands of Glenkirk, extending to a ten shilling land of old extent, with woods, fishings etc. and the common pasturage in Quholmshope effeiring thereto, lying in the parish of Glenwholme and sheriffdom of Tweeddale: which lands formerly pertained to William Langtoune of Earleshaugh, who by disposition, dated 4 April 1701, disponed them to James Wilsone of Abergaveny, merchant in the county of Monmouth, who by disposition, dated 17 March 1702, disponed them to Nasmyth, and in terms of the procuratory of resignation contained in the first disposition they were, on 26 February 1703, resigned into the hands of the Lords Commissioners of her Majesty's Thesaury and Exchequer for a new infeftment in his favour: To be held de me for services used and wont.
