Title |
Instrument (defective) under the hand of John Dikesoun, clerk of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, narrating that James Douglas, uncompelled and of his own free will, constituted and ordained Patrick Hammiltoune of Kyncawill, knight, his cessioner and assignee to Letters of Reversion granted by Mr. John Murray, Gawin Bischop, the late Gawin Levingstoun of that Ilk and the late Mr. Bertholomew Levingstoun of that Ilk, predecessors of the said James Douglas, for redemption of the twenty shilling lands lying in the town and territory of Levingstoune, the forty shilling lands of Brech and the lands of Staneburne with their pertinents; with all the powers usually granted to an assignee. Done on 19 February 1518-19 within the chamber of the said Patrick in the burgh of Edinburgh |
