Warrant for Letter of Gift under the Privy Seal in favour of James, Earl of Morton, of the escheat goods and gear of Sir William Bruce of Kinross, who was put to the horn on 30 December 1702 by letters of horning raised against him at the instance of Sir George Hamilton of Tullieallan, George Baillie of Jerviswood and Mr. George Oswald of Fingaltoune for not determining and perfecting the decreet-arbitral pronounced by him (Sir William Bruce), Mr. James Leslie, advocate, Sir Gilbert Elliott, advocate, and Gavin Plumbar, merchant in Edinburgh, upon the Submission entered into between Sir George, Baillie and Oswald, on the one part, and Sir Alexander Bruce of Broomhall and Alexander and Thomas, his sons, on the other part.
