Title |
Instrument of Sasine (defective) under the hand of James Marchell, clerk, of the diocese of Edinburgh, notary public, following upon and narrating the precept of sasine in a heritable bond (dated at Edinburgh, 11 February 1702) by Patrick Murray of Livingstoun whereby he bound and obliged himself to infeft James Beugo, elder, in Breich, in liferent, and James Beugo, younger, his son, in fee, in an annualrent of £120 Scots furth of the lands and barony of Livingstoun lying in the parish of Livingstone and sheriffdom of Linlithgow, redeemable on payment of the principal sum of 3000 merks Scots. Sasine given on 11 August 1702, by James Bryce in Cuttle of Breichwater, bailie of the said Patrick Murray, to the said James Bewgo, elder, in liferent, and to his son, in fee, of said annualrent, by the hands of Patrick Marshall [sub-tenant] in the lands of Stonieburne, their attorney |

Description |
Witnesses to the Bond, James Marshell, writer, Edinburgh, and James Steuart, his servitor, Witnesses to the sasine, John Bell, portioner of Litle Blackburn, John Bunkle, tenant in Foulsheills, John Marshall in Stonieburne and John Beugo in Auchinhard. The instrument is written by John Thomsone, servitor to the notary.
