Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of George Pitcarne, clerk, of the diocese of St. Andrews, notary public, following upon a disposition (dated 6th February 1702) by Patrick Morray of Livingstoune, whereby he bound and obliged himself to infeft James Hamiltoune of Pentcaitland, one of the principal clerks of Session, in the following parts of the barony of Blackburn viz: the lands of Litle Blackburn lying in the parish of Livingstoune and sheriffdom of [Linlithgow], the lands of Meikle Blackburne, the lands of Poddockshaw and the lands of Trobeans alias Trees, in security of the sum of 10,000 merks Scots. Sasine given on 3rd April 1702 by the said Patrick Morray propriis manibus to Lewis Hay, lawful son of the deceased John Hay of Aberlady, as attorney and procurator for the said James Hamiltoune, under reversion of the principal sum |
