Description |
Stodart had raised an action against Baillie before John Hamilton at Westoun, bailie of said regality, and the said James Lawrie, for payment of £33: 1: 4d (sic) for the following account:- "Imprimis ij March 1690, for ten chappins claret wyne". £4: 16: - "Item, George Fisheis fie half a yeir". 7: - : - "Item, 24 Apryll 1691, a pynt of brandie and a pynt of sack". 4:12: - "Item, a pynt seck and a chopin brandie". 3: 4: - "Item with William Cunynghame a chopin claret". -:16: - "Item, September 1692, by Litlegillis servants two pynts seck and a pynt brandie". 6: -: - "Item by the defenders order for the expence of his nurses decreit". 6:13: 4 "Item for ane extract of ane act from William McMorran". 3: -: - £ 36: 1: 4
The defender produced discharges for the 1st, 2nd and 7th items and referred the remainder to the oath of the pursuer and his wife Mareon Fisher, who deponed that they were still unpaid and therefore decree was granted as above. George Lawrie, writer, Lanark, compeared for the pursuer and Edward Lindsay in Burnesands of Robertoun and Baillie, son of the defender, for the defender
