Title |
Instrument of Resignation under the hand of David Callender, clerk, of the diocese of Edinburgh, notary public, narrating that, on 21 December 1694, James Irvine, one of the ordinary macers of Exchequer, as procurator for the deceased Mr. Thomas Cochran of Polkellie, constituted by letter of procuratory contained in a bond of tailzie dated 13 June 1691, resigned into the hands of the Lords Commissioners of Treasury and Exchequer the lands described in No. GD86/756, and also the twenty shilling land of Spittell with teinds, in the parish of Steuartoun, bailiary of Cuninghame and Sheriffdom of Air, in favour of Mr. William Cochran of Killmaronock, heir served and retoured before the bailies of the Canongate on 16th October 1694 to the said Mr. Thomas, his brother, and the heirs male of his body, whom failing to Jean, Viscountess of Dundee, and the heirs male of her body, whom failing to William Cochran of Ochiltree and the heirs male of his body, whom failing to William, Earl of Dundonald, and the heirs male of his body, whom failing to the nearest heirs of the said Mr. Thomas |
