Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of John Fergusone, clerk, of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, following upon and narrating the precept of sasine in a heritable bond (dated at Mayboill 27 December 1687) by John Muir of Auchindrain whereby, in security of the sum of 1800 merks Scots contained therein, he bound and obliged himself to infeft and sease Sir Archibald Kennedy of Culzean, Baronet, in an annual rent of £72 Scots furth of the 2 merkland of Rankinstoun (possessed by Eivie Hair) in the parish of Coyltoune and sheriffdom of Air. Witnesses to the sasine, Thomas Campbell in Mains of Greinan, John Tenent in Burntoune, John Caldwell, servitor to the notary, John Hannay, son of Andro Hannay in Mains of Kers, and William Gairdner, wright in Air.
