Title |
Instrument of Resignation and Sasine under the hand of William Drummond, clerk of the diocese of Edinburgh and common clerk. of the burgh of Air, notary public, narrating the resignation made by Robert Hunter, one of the officers of said burgh, procurator for Agnes Cunynghame, spouse of John Gilmour yr. of [Mid]dletoun, (duly constituted by letters of procuratory dated 14 (?) July 1676 and 24 October 1691 contained in a contract of wadset entered into by the said John Gilmour and spouse) into the hands of John Osburn, provost of said burgh, as into the hands of the provost, bailies, councillors and community of said burgh, immediate superiors of said lands, of (1) the ten shilling lands of Twa-stane-croce with the acres of the Lightmylneburne, formerly occupied by John Ker, Robert Ker, Thomas Wilkinet yr. and John Hutchesoune, husbandmen in the said burgh, (2) two acres of land lying near St. Leonards Chapel formerly possessed by George Hutchesoun, husbandman in said burgh, and (3) that acre of land lying in the Laighsands, formerly possessed by the late William Simpson, all lying in the parish and sheriffdom of Air, in favour of Mr. David Cunyngham of Mylnecraig, advocate; and that Hugh Craufurd, one of the bailies of said burgh, gave sasine of said subjects, on 12 November 1691, to John Fergussoun yr. writer in Air, attorney for the said Mr. David Cunyngham |
