Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of Robert Allane, clerk, of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, following upon and narrating the precept of sasine in a bond and disposition (dated at Holyruidhouse 14 January, 1691) by Sir Alexander Cuninghame of Corshill, Baronet, whereby he, with consent of David Cuninghame, yor. of Robertland, granted to Sir William Cuninghame of Caprintone, Baronet, and his heirs for themselves, and for the security and behoof of Johne, Earl of Glencairne, a yearly annuity of 3240 merks Scots furth of the 2½ merkland of Robertland, with tower, park etc., the 11 merkland of Lochrig, the 4 merkland of Braidiland, the 3 merk 6 shilling land of Watterland, Halkett and Hesilbanke, and mill thereof, and all other parts of Watterland and Halkett belonging to them, the 6 merkland of Fulshaw and mill thereof, and the 40 shilling land of Spittell, with the teinds of the whole of said lands, all lying in the parishes of Stewartoun and Dunlop, bailiary of Cuninghame and sheriffdom of Ayre, but under the condition that whenever Lady Kilmares, with consent of the said David Cuninghame (if in life at the time), should renounce her right to said annuity, that the said security and infeftment following thereupon should be null and void. Sasine given at the fortalice and place of Robertland and on the ground and lands thereof, on 18th February 1691, by Johne Andro, burgess of Kilmares, bailie of the granter, to Mr. William Watson in Kilmares, attorney for the said Sir William Cuninghame |

Description |
Witnesses to the bond and disposition, Mr. Robert Stewart, junior, advocate, and Alexander Southerland, servitor to the said Sir William Cuninghame. Witnesses to the sasine, Robert Smith, merchant, Kilmares, Georg Smith, his brother german, Alan Templtoune, bailie officer in kirkland of Kilmares, William Cudbertsone at the place of Kilmares, and William Walker, son of the deceased William Walker in Bostounhead. The bond is written by John Ewing, servitor to John Cuninghame of Enterkine, W.S.
