Title |
Instrument of Sasine (defective) under the hand of [George Cunynghame, clerk, of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public], following upon and naratting the precept of sasine in a heritable bond (dated 21st March 1690) by David Cunynghame yr. of Robertland whereby he bound and obliged himself to infeft Mr. Thomas Cochrane of Pollokellie in an annualrent of £400 Scots (or in such an annualrent as shall by law be equivalent to the principal sum of 10,000 merks Scots) furth of the £10 land of old extent of Cambuskeith, with tower, manorplace, teinds etc., lying on the north side of the Water of Irvine within the parish of Kilmarnock, bailiary of Cunynghame and sheriffdom of Air. Sasine given upon the ground of said lands [on 18 June 1690] by William Wallace in Maines of Capringtoune, bailie of the granter, to William Goddie [in Holl of Richartoun], attorney for the said Mr. Thomas Cochran |

Witnesses to the bond, William Cocherane of Ochiltrie, Mr. John Cochran of Ferguslie, William Stirling, bailie depute of the Regality of Glasgow, Robert Robertson, writer in Glasgow, and John Syme, his servitor. Witnesses to the sasine, Mr. James Cunyngham of Tour, John Hamilton of Inshgotrig, John Gemmill portioner in Cambuskeith, and Hugh Shaw in Damheid of Caprintoun.
