Title |
Instrument of Sasine (defective) under the hand of John Craufurd, clerk, of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, following upon and narrating the precept of sasine in letters of obligation (dated at Air 18 November 1676) by John Chalmer of Gaitgirth, as principal, with consent of John Chalmer, yr. of Gaitgirth, his eldest son, whereby in security of the principal sum of 1000 merks Scots contained in said letters of obligation they bound and obliged themselves to infeft Roger Din in Leffanhill, his heirs and assignees, in the merkland of Neither Laicht with houses, etc. (occupied by James Din in Benwhat) lying in the parish of Dalmellingtoun, Kyle Regis and sheriffdom of Air. Sasine given upon the ground of said lands, on 10 April 1677, by John Wight in Burnheid, bailie of the granter, to the said Roger Din |

Witnesses to the letters of obligation, Johne Fergusone, writer in Air, and William Kelso, his servitor. Witnesses to the sasine, William and John, sons of the said John Wight, bailie, John McChruttir son of David McChruttir, merchant in Dalmellingtoune, and John McMillane, merchant there.
