Title |
Charter under the Great Seal of Charles II, whereby he, as prince and steward of Scotland, with consent of John, Earl of Lauderdaill, his Commissioner for Scotland and Secretary of State, John, Earl of [Rothes], Chancellor, John, Earl of Tueddale, Alexander, Earl of Kincardin, William, Earl of Dundonald, William, Lord Bellenden, and Sir Robert Murray, late Justice Clerk, commissioners for his Treasury, Comptrollery and New Augmentation, confirms a bond and obligation (dated 5th November 1669) by Hugh Sinclair of Blackburne, whereby, in consideration of the sum of 4000 merks Scots paid to him by Johne Carmichaell in Meikle Blaikburne, he bound and obliged himself to infeft the said Johne Carmichaell, in life-rent, and John, Helen and Agnes, his children, in fee, in an annualrent of £160 Scots furth of his lands of Meikle Blaikburne, with the houses, yards, meadows, etc., lying in the parish of Livingstone and sheriffdom of Bathgate.
