Title |
Instrument (defective) under the hand of Patrick Mur, presbyter of the diocese of St. Andrews, notary public, narrating a Decree bitral (dated at Lewyngstoun 8 August 1512) by Patrik Hamiltoun of Kyncavill, knight, and Androw Creichtoun of Drumcors, arbiters chosen by Mr. Barthilmo Levingstoun of that Ilk and Wilzem Leirmont of Hombe, for the settlement of all disputes between them regarding the third of the Manys of Levyngstoun lying on the east side thereof, whereby they decerned the said Mr. Barthilmo to infeft Agnes Levingstoun, his sister, and the said Wilzem Leirmont, her spouse, and the heirs gotten or to be gotten betwixt them, whom failing, the nearest and lawful heirs of the said Agnes, in free blench farm, for one silver penny, in the third of the Manys of Levyngstoun above mentioned, with the land and pertinents of Fowilflat, the merk land of the Park, the lands of [?K ...myn]; "the est Hors-hill tyll be brokit inproper to the pittis and merchis maid be the said Patrik and Androw ..... heid of Cheisleisdennorcht our the mur to the cairyn of stanys maid on the newar feilid dyk, and fra the said ........ on all the partis on the mur and mossis to be brukit in common be the said lard Levingstoun Agnes and Wilzem hir spouse ...... oris, tennandis, inhabitaris of all and haill the Manys of Levingstoun; and it sall nocht be lesowm to the said lard of [Levingstoun] nor nayn of the tennandis nor indwellaris at the west thwa partis at the said manys to cum to the said ...... layn at Wilzem Hoggis dowir and on the norcht syd of newar feild, accepand it sall be lesum to the said ........ dis and inhabitaris of the thwa west partis of the said manys tyll leid the eldyng that thai wyn on the said ...... the [?streit] of the est part of the manys and ......mur betuix the hanyng and the newark fra the sik down down be est the ...... as thai war wynt to do to the said hanyng and newark and that the said charter bownd the merchis as ........ |
