Title |
Instrument of Sasine (much injured by damp) under the hand of John Cunynghame, clerk, of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, following upon and narrating a Precept from the Chancery of King Charles II (dated 3rd March and sealed 28 April 1669, a. r. 21) addressed to the bailies of Cunynghame and their deputes and to Thomas Barr in Milmaures for infefting James Dunlop of that ilk in the twenty shilling lands of Spittell described in No. GD86/673. Sasine given by the said Thomas Barr upon the ground of said lands, on 10th May 1669, to the said James Dunlop |

Witnesses, David Wilsone, John Howie, and John Lauchlane, indwellers in Spittell, and John Dawsoune, servitor to the said James Dunlop. Writer of the instrument, William Paton, servitor to the notary.
Registered P.R.S. Ayr 11th June 1669, Vol. 2, Fol. 306. A large part of the writ is indecipherable and most of the particulars have been taken from the Register. The docquet of Robert Allane, N.P. has per incuriam been engrossed into the Register instead of Cunynghame's. |
