Charter under the Great Seal of King Charles II, with consent of John, Earl of Rothes, Chancellor, John, Earl of Lauderdale, Secretary, John, Earl of Tueddale, Alexander, Earl of Kincardine, William Lord Cochrane, William, Lord Bellenden, Treasurer Depute, and Sir Robert Murray, late Justice Clerk, commissioners for his Treasury, Comptrollery and New Augmentation, granting to James Dunlop of that Ilk the twenty shilling lands of [Spittell] with teinds, lying in the parish of Stewartoune, bailiary of Cunynghame and sheriffdom off Air: which lands, held of the King as Prince and Steward of Scotland, formerly pertained to Sir David Cunynghame of Robertland, knight, who (conform to Instrument of Resignation under the hand of John Cunynghame W. S. dated 29 July 1661) resigned them into the hands of the said Commissioners at Edinburgh in favor of Sir Adam Blair formerly of Lochwood now of Carberrie, knight, who by his disposition and assignation (dated 21st August 1668) conveyed them to the grantee: To be held de nobis for payment of the rights, duties and services used and wont.
