Title |
Tack by way of Contract entered into between George, Lord Strathnaver, commissioner for Archibald, Earl of Forfar, (conform to Factory in his favour granted by the Earl and his curators dated 13, 18 and 20 and registered in the Books of Council and Session 24th March 1668) on the one part, and Johne Mackallane, Thomas Mackallane, James Mackallane, Alexander Mackallane and William Hamiltone in Hill and Mylne-Hill of Vandell, on the other part, whereby the first party sets to the second parties the 2½ merklands called the Hill of Vandell, and the 10 shilling land of Mylne-Hill (presently possessed by them) lying within the parish and barony of Vandell and sheriffdom of Lanerk, for six years from Whitsunday 1667 at a yearly rent of 264 merks 11 shillings and 8 pence Scots. The second parties are also liable for the duty of the myln and officers of Vandall conform to use and wont, and to obey all the acts made by the first party or his bailies in their courts of Vandall.
