Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of Patrick Mur, presbyter of the diocese of St. Andrews, notary public, narrating that Bartholomew Lewyngstoun of that Ilk passed to the chief messuage of the lands of Lewyngstoun and to the lands of le Manys, le Ward and the mill of Lewyngstoun and there having shewn that it was known to him that Henry Lewyngstoun, brother of Agnes Lewyngstoun, died last vest and seised as of fee at the peace and faith of the king in the said lands and that the said Agnes is a lawful and one of the nearer heirs of her brother in the one-half of said lands which are held of him in capite, gave sasine of the said one-half thereof to her by delivery of earth and stone and a quantity of meal. William Leirmont and the said Agnes Lewyngstoun asked instruments from the notary. Done on 16th June 1512 |
