Title |
Certificates as to the "furiosite" of Robert Douglas, sometime in Auchintullich, at the time of his slaughter of William Lindsay, ferrier at the Boat of Bownill, on 27 May 1664. The first (undated) is signed by Glencarne, R(?) Schaw, Adam Colquhoun, George Richart, Hewgh Cwnyghame and Sir Ja. Frieland: the second by Mr. William Douglas, Advocate, is dated 6 July 1665 and certifies that he met Douglas at the Laird of Luss's house at Rosdo in the beginning of May [1664] some twenty days before the slaughter: the third by Walter Watsone, town clerk of Dumbartane, is dated 21 July 1665 |
