Title |
Extract from the Book of Causes of the Stewartry of Monteith of Decreet pronounced by Alexander Stewart, fiar of Annatt, one of the stewart deputes of said stewartry, in the action of poinding of the ground raised at the instance of Johne Napeir, indweller in Murdochstoune, against John McAdame, Donald Forrester, Marie Stirling, Johne Blair and Donald Wobster, tenants of the lands of Auchyle, and Margaret Halden, relict of James Stirling of Auchyle, liferentrix of said lands (compearing by Johne Moir, her procurator) ordaining precepts to be directed to the officers of the stewartry for poinding the corn, cattle and other moveable goods and gear upon said lands in payment and satisfaction of the sum of £130 Scots being the arrears from Martinmas 1654 to Whitsunday 1661 of an annual-rent of £20 due under bond of corroboration and instrument of sasine Nos. GD86/625-6, and to which annual rent the pursuer acquired right by letters of assignation No. GD86/633. At Downe 5th November 1661 |
